Fulcher family vacation 2011 began with us retrieving the girls from the Neshoba County Fairgrounds. I thought they would be sitting on their suitcases waiting on our arrival, Farrah had been gone for a week and Norah two. True to fair form they were sleeping in. If you haven't been to the fair you should know it's ok to stay up past your bedtime, way past your bedtime and sleep late, late as you can sleep. Fair week is a week of it's own, I can honestly say I've never experienced or heard of anything else like it. I suppose that's why my girls love it. I'm guessing that Camden will join them one day.
Once we gathered all of our little children (this is what Farrah calls them), we headed to the beach. Camden had the stomach virus the week before vacation, since the girls were at the fair, we thought we had outsmarted it. It seems that the virus has a voodoo spell on our family, we could hear about it and start hurling. Norah caught the bug, we sanitized and luckily no one else went down. I'm knocking on wood as I type. I'm sure that virus is lurking somewhere laughing about who will be sick next.
The beach was nice, weather was beautiful. Camden didn't mind the sand, or the water. The girls enjoyed catching waves on the boogie boards and burying me and themselves in the sand.
We made it back just in time to attend Meet the Teacher at Madison Station Elementary. Norah is now a 3rd grader and is on the big kid side of the school. YIKES!!! She is very excited, I hope it last through homework hours. :)
Good times were had. Here are a few pictures from the week.
